HOW DO YOU VALUE MY CAR?
We use the information that you provide for us, along with up to the minute databases. We have over 30 years experience and hundreds of trade contacts to allow us to provide a researched accurate quote for your specific car not a computer generated quote for a generic car that may be subject to re-evaluation once you have taken your car to the buyer.
We come to you, so the onus is on us to provide you with a quote that will buy the car. This is why we thoroughly research your specific car prior to calling you with a bid to buy your car.
CAN YOU COLLECT MY CAR TODAY?
We can usually arrange a quote within one hour and as we are based locally to you in Sussex can usually collect a car on the day that you accept our quote.
I`M NERVOUS ABOUT SELLING MY CAR, HOW DO I KNOW THAT IT`S SAFE?
You will deal entirely with Andy & Karen who own Sell Car Sussex and not an impersonal call centre or computer programme.
We will do our best to reassure you and assist you every step of the way, we can pay by secure bank transfer directly into your account or by Bankers draft. We will come to you at a time and place convenient for you and we will pay for your car at the time of collection, so you do not have to wait for payment.
I DO NOT HAVE MY LOGBOOK – WILL YOU BUY MY CAR?
We must have the logbook/ V5 document to be able to buy your car from you. If you do not have one you can apply for a new one by completing a V62 form and sending it to the DVLA (address on the form) which you can obtain from the post office or online at;www.direct.gov.uk
If the car is registered in your name, DVLA have an express service available.
WHICH TYPES OF CARS DO YOU BUY?
We will buy most makes & models, have a look at our list of “cars that we buy”. If your car is not listed, please call us and we will discuss your car fully with you.
MY CAR IS AN IMPORT – DO YOU BUY IMPORTS?
Yes, we buy imported cars, please bear in mind that imported cars can vary in their specifications to that of a UK spec car and may differ in value. Call us and tell us about your specific car and we will value it on its own merit. There are two types of import; "parallel" imports are cars purchased within the EU, which may have minor differences to that of a UK car or grey imports - purchased outside the EU, these cars require a different approach to valuation. Please specify the type of import when you contact us (details are specified on the V5 Registration document).

I HAVE OUTSTANDING FINANCE – WILL YOU BUY MY CAR?
Yes, but the finance must be settled, you have two options;
- You can settle your balance yourself directly with your finance company – we will require written confirmation from them that they have received full cleared payment when we collect your car
- We can settle the finance for you. You will need to contact your finance company to obtain a settlement figure - data protection laws require that you obtain this. We will require written confirmation of the outstanding amount from them - we can then simply deduct this amount from the valuation and pay it on your behalf.
NB – If you owe more than the valuation of the car to the finance company – you will need to pay the outstanding balance prior to us collecting the car – we will require written confirmation of this from your finance company when we come. Alternatively, you can pay us the difference, in the form of a Bankers Draft made payable to your finance company.
